I recently realized how many photos I had accumulated over the past few months I've had my phone. So I decided to plug it into my Mac and back it up. I was then prompted to get the new updated iTunes and iPhone OS 5, sooo I did, and it said it backed everything up. It went halfway through the restoring process, where I got "restore error -20" which said "cannot restore phone because back up may be corrupt or not compatible with phone."
Then, my computer rebooted and never turned back on (unrelated issue.) I am in the process of getting that sorted out, and in the mean time, I plugged my iPhone into my boyfriend's Macbook, and it tells me that I have 9gb of "other" data on the usage bar. Could this be the partial back up? To be honest, I don't care about my app data, my recent calls, or my text messages, I just want all my photos
I feel like I've lost 6 months of memories!
Its showing me the USB/iTunes icon to get me to set up as a new phone, or restore from a back up. Should I just set it up as a new device? If I do so, will this delete this mysterious "other" data? I guess perhaps I am being overly hopeful that my pictures are on there?
