After upgrade to 3.0 backup hanging up

I've tried numerous times to back up my 3G iPhone since I upgraded. It hangs every time. Any one else having this problem? I finally cancel the backup and the snyc finishes up. Any fixes? Thanks

Did you mean 3.1 or 3.0? But either way, the first backup after an upgrade takes a long time, depending on how much stuff you have on your iPhone. It is supposed to be much faster after that.

Sorry, yes I mean 3.1 upgrade. I'll give it an overnight chance and see what happens.
