Hello everyone. im running Windows XP Home Edition service pack 2 through boot camp on a new Imac 2.66GHz with about 176gb partitioned to windows. I have the basic drivers installed that apple gives you through the leopard install disc.

I've been trying to install age of conan recently and ive been having a few major issues. The first is the slow install speed. people are saying its taking them 30 min to and hour which is understandable for the size of the game but for me its taking close to 2 hours for one disc. I have managed to the installation completed once but then it gave me the error

Messages File "C:\Program Files\Funcom\Age of Conan\unins000.msg" is missing. Please correct the problem or obtain a new copy of the program.

seeing that i uninstalled it and tried to reinstall. im currently half way through disc one.

is there anything im not doing correctly or anything i could do to improve my installation time? And if that error is to appear again is there any steps i could take to repair what is missing instead of having to go through the grulling reinstallation?

I can't confirm this will help but I did a quick google and came up with:

It seems to indicate if you manually uninstall the program folder (for just AoC) by moving the AoC folder to the trash, then run a registry cleaner to clear out invalid registry entries from the registry, then reinstall. I realize this won't help speed up the slow installs nor have no idea if it will work for you.

BTW, how much RAM you have installed? That might be involved with how long installs are taking?
