age of empires 3 crashes too much

i have both versions of aoe3, pc and mac
well, i run it on my cheap custom pc(pentium4HT+winxp sp1) and had never, never crashed
while the version for mac crashes about 2 out of every 5 times i try the game, anyone else is having this instability?

i downloaded the newest patch (1.0.3) and about 5 min in is starts to jump and freeze. in skirmish's and campains. ne1 got ne ideas?

i run a 2Ghz intel macbook 2. 2G of ram. WTF??
