My wife really wants an historical strategy/building game for her birthday--specifically 'Ceasar', but that doesn't seem to exist for Mac--and I thought maybe Age of Empires III was the way to go...but I just have a standard Mini (i.e. integrated graphics, C2D, 1G RAM). Despite being almost 10 months old it is still the best mini one can have, but is the GMA 950 good enough to handle it? I am not a gamer at all--thus the mini;)--so I'm pretty clueless about this sort of thing.

Thanks!

A GMA 950 is plenty to play Age 3, you probably won't have shadows but the game will play just fine otherwise.

I play it on my GMA 950 Macbook 2.0 GHZ all the time. Runs perfectly, though of course not at top specs.
