So i just got my macbook and was showing my idiot friend during the initial software update. The computer started acting all crazy and i had to restart it. I know its not good to shut down a windows computer during an update, so i guess my question is, is this something i should be worried about?

I think you should just be able to run the update again and it should work... having a restart during a software update is not really much to worry about. What do you mean by acting crazy, and what were you doing while installing the update?

By acting crazy i mean running very slow. I was trying to open photobooth as well. I then had to restart and since then everything is acting normal. Although when i resumed the update it did run a little slowly but maybe it was just because there was so much to download and install (about 9 updates for a total of around 200-300 mb).
