AI not working on iPhone 16 Pro after installing iOS 18.1

I have posted a few places, and no one confirms this is an issue for them as well - so here goes with a proper "I have an issue"-post.

On my wife's iPhone 16 Pro Max, we updated to iOS 18.1, and though we are living in Canada, Region is set to US, and Language is set to English (US). We enabled AI in Settings, yet we still have no Writing Tools, for instance. The Clean-Up in Photos work...

I have an iPhone 16 Pro, and everything is working fine. I am, however, on iOS 18.2 Beta.

Any suggestions?

When you go into Settings > Apple Intelligence, does it show that you are on the waitlist? Or "waiting to install"?

No, it looks exactly as it does on my iPhone where it is working:

Strange. I assume you've already one the turn off / turn back on rigmarole with no change?

Absolutely - that was my first thought as well.

Interestingly enough both my wife and our daughter’s iPhones have this behaviour…

Same ti ne gere in Boston, iPhone 16pro 18.1.1 on Settings>Apple Intelligence is not showing ChatGPT and Extensions when I scroll down... I try all few obvious things to do already and still same.

ChatGPT integration won't be available until 18.2 is released.
