Hey guys.

I have an interesting 'problem' for everyone here today. In short, I'm trying to find a way to keep myself signed into AIM via either the official or another IM client whilst it's running in the background (via Backgrounder) on my iPhone 3G. I'm just wondering if anyone can help me, as trying to stay in touch with someone 3000 miles away is tricky otherwise. I obviously can't be in AIM or Parlingo all the time, but I was wondering if there's a way to do this. Usually, when my iPhone goes into sleep mode, it has to reconnect when I unlock it and open the app, despite it running in the background. Please help if at all possible!

BeeJive works fine for me with Backgrounder. And if it does happen to crash and stop running in the background, I have the notification email sent to me as an SMS, so I'm instantly notified of a new IM. Probably best $12.99 I spent in the App Store.

I've been testing this since last night and it's working perfectly :D Thank you! It's a much better IM client than any other on there as well :)

Have you tried Fring?

I'll give it a quick look now :) Thanks
