hi there, i am a recent mac convert, got the imac 24 in with 3.06ghz and 4 gigs of ram, i wasn't having any issues with my computer at first, my brother already had a macbook so he pushed me into getting this computer and he pretty much set everything up for me, the internet was working fine, we were using a airport and he set up his network to my imac but now, it's not working fine. the internet is always cutting off, i'm looking at something then it won't work, it seems as though when he uses his macbook for internet, mine starts not working. can this be fixed? i have no idea how to fix this problem and it's getting frustrating. :/

i downloaded realplayer to watch big brother 24 hour feed and he thinks that real player is at fault here. i started getting a general error when i watched the feeds after the second day. i don't know what can be wrong.

Well the modem needs to be configured for two machines if both of you are going to be online at the same time. It was probably working fine the other day because your brother wasn't using the internet. It's not a problem with your computer, it's the modem that needs to be reconfigured. Call up your ISP, and don't forget to mention that you have a mac, because configurations vary.
