Air Drop mac mini2012 to MBA2010

hello sportsfans
all of the sudden airdrop is not sending as easy as last month.
just now the mini is stating that the MBair won't accept a file via airdrop "MBA declined your request"
troubleshooting:
•both are on the same wifi
•file sharing is on
•both macs are neck and neck
•both icons are visible on each mac
•elcappitan is running both macs
• I do not see the "allow me to be discover by" on my airdrop window
•the file size is 5.7 mgbs, i sent files this size frequently.
•the original files airdropped from the iPad to mini
• i don't need a new macs!

any positive help would be helpful, and crass, funny comments will be cherished!
im sorry this is not a Macbook 2018 fan and throttle issue or a new iPhone made entirely of glass.

i also reset my 1976 made airport express

then, how can you brag about your new SSD or insist i buy something new in this thread.

after searching search sear-

go to user name
click yours
right click advanced
log out of apple id
log back in

that works on both macs using elcappitan from 2010 and 2012

i hope this helps someone besides me.
