Do you suspect that my Firmware version is not at your's ?

Broadcom BCM43xx 1.0 (5.106.98.102.30)

Actually System Info there in French says that AirDrop IS supported and WiFi is connected...

Never worked for me either. Ever. Even though it says "supported" and "connected". Neither does my mac mini (4,1) which also says supported and connected. Never ever seen it in action. 3 ipads, 2 iphones (6 and 7+) - nada. Zip. Nothing. All on same wifi.

Frankly I even doubt it exists lol

On old cards it will only work in compatibility mode, that is if on the newer mac you click on the blue link at the bottom of the AirDrop window and go for "Don't see what you're looking for?" or something similar, then click on Search for older Macs...

Where is this '"Don't see what you're looking for?" or something similar' of which you speak...

On newer macs, at the very bottom, you see a blue link text with this text. They have the ability to switch back to this older mode that ours understand.
