Air Droping Pages document from iPad to Macbook Pro

When I air drop a pages document from iPad to Mackbook Pro, it loads the document to iCloud Drive Pages Beta automatically.

I wonder what I can do to have it load to Pages instead. I've created the document in iPad and it wasn't showing up in iCloud Drive until I air dropped it.

Why air drop it when you can just use handoff?

Why air drop it when you can just use handoff?

It won't show up as handoff... A bigger question is why my Pages document created by iPad won't show up in iCloud Drive from my mac.
