I'm definitely getting the new Air but my dilemma is storage size. Its a $300 upgrade to make it 256GB but that feels a bit too expensive so I'm curious how the current Air owners are handling with their storage decisions.

Did the capacity creep up on you? Did you use an external portable to compensate? Time Capsule/AEBS to do wireless storage? I'm looking for any solutions that will save me money, but if 256GB is the more practical size in 2011 then I'll bite the bullet and go for it (which means returning my new Time Capsule and getting a refurb AEBS to help justify cost).

It was fine for myself. I comfortably fit my programs and music on there, but I used an external drive for photos. I have about 25 gigs free. At the same time I would buy the 256 gb model because I want to bootcamp windows 7 on it.

I guess its probably down to where you store your libraries for itunes, iphoto etc. Those are the most popular culprits for filling a hard disk I'd guess.

If you have small libraries or the option to store them on another computer or external drive you should be fine.
