I'm on the verge of buying an Air, and was considering my warranty options. I can buy the edu-discounted Applecare for $185, or a 3-year warranty with Accident protection from Squaretrade for around $350.
From what I can tell, Squaretrade is reputable. And no accident protection is what did me in with my last laptop (small liquid spill fried the motherboard). But reading these threads, it seems like y'all make frequent trips to the Apple store for exchanges and fixes when the Air's fan starts squealing, cores start shutting down, etc.
Anyone have more knowledging comparing these two options?
