I have an issue where my car BT will override my APPs while I am on a call in the car. I prefer to use the APPs during a call as it sounds better to me and to the person I can speaking to. I do want to keep my iPhone connected to the car for BT music audio.

When this happens, the APPs will completely lose connection. And 99% of the time, if I try to reconnect them by tapping on the speaker and then selecting the APPs, nothing happens. Even if I remove the APP from my ear, nothing happens. It gets frustrating.

So, is there anyway to make the APPs maintain the connection to the phone/call and not get disconnected by the car BT?

Thanks for any thoughts.

Dealing with in-car BT can be a pain. Instead of tapping on the speaker, have you tried squeezing the stem of either Airpod?

This works with CarPlay, but it may not be so easy with a third party BT connection...

No, I hadn't thought of that, but I will give it a try. I just wish there was a way to make one BT device have priority over another. But thanks for the idea!
