I was thinking about getting a pair of AirPods max to watch movies on my iPad but I was wondering if since they are Bluetooth headphones if there is a delay between the sound and seeing people move their mouse when they were talking in the movie?

No lipsync issues at all on a airpod pro, so I guess Max is the same or better. I‘m an editor and I can usually detect lypsync issues of even 2 frames and sometimes 1 frame of sync issues. Very sensitive for that.
The system is smart enough to microdelay the video to compensate for that.
If you get the airpod Max for that, make sure you have an ipad compatible with Spatial Audio, the surround effect is awesome.
