Thinking of taking the plunge and getting AirPods Pro 2. Is everyone satisfied with low-end they provide, I like a good boomy bass response on headphones and wondering can AirPods Pro provide that?

I agree with BeatCrazy the bass is more neutral sounding and most earbuds are going to be this way. In any wireless earbuds you are not going to have really boomy bass you need space for that. There are reasons (extreme example) subs for vehicles can get so large not to mention power draw.

Not sure how experienced you are with IEMs but once you get past a certain quality threshold, 75%+ of how good the bass response is in IEMs depends on how well they are sealed in your ear.

I have all types, AirPods Gen 2, 3, Pro, Pro 2, Max, and Beats Flex.
The Max are over the ear, but not boomy. Flex are tightly sealed and like my old Klipsch buds, have solid bass.
For an open design, the AirPods 3 are actually astounding. Bass is no boomy, but respectable.

I got a pair of AirPods Pro gen 1 for Christmas. I asked for the standard AirPods 3rd general, but was very HAPPILY surprised when I was gifted the Pros when I unwrapped them, they weren’t much more at the time so that’s what my family got me 😃

Anyway I like listening to bass heavy music, dance or house music, and the bass response is phenomenal for a pair of earbuds. I was really surprised with how well they thump and drop. IMO these are good for bass tracks. It’s not overpowering at all. But is solid. I love the noise cancelling too, first time I’ve had that on headphones. Love the AirPods Pro experience so far.

The bass response is not phenomenal on gen 1 😆 Abysmal, yes, but most definitely not phenomenal.

Opinions vary as do personal taste. Perhaps you are listening to the wrong type of music? Sounds damn good to me.
