I asked this in another thread about Air Sharing HD but no one answered it. Is it possible to make a folder to store pictures that I don't want to show with all my other photos. I added a few custom wallpapers and I scanned my softball schedule but I don't really want them to be in with my pictures I imported from my digital camera. If its not possible to do with Air Sharing HD, is there any other app? Thanks.

If you're just asking if you can make multiple folders in Air Sharing and spread your pictures out into different folders, then answer would be yes, it can do that. Even Goodreader can do that.

What I mean is like can I hide certain pictures in different folders? Say I want to put pictures on my iPad to just use for Backgrounds, can I put them somewhere when I go to the Photo App it won't show in it? Do you get what I mean? Its hard to explain. I just don't want to go to my Photo app and see my Wallpaper and documents that I scanned with my scanner and imported on my iPad.

Pictures stored in Air Sharing HD (and most other "file system" apps) don't show up in the normal iPad photos list. You can get pictures into Air Sharing HD with a variety of Wifi techniques that don't involve going through iTunes or your iPad photo album.

in other words, porn.

There is an app specifically designed for your needs, even with password protection. Sorry I forgot the name, but I believe it is either under photography or utilities categary

No, I'm not talking about porn, I didn't mean "hide" I just meant stick into another folder so it won't show up in the Photos app. I'm weird about stuff like that. I like my stuff being organized so I don't want wallpaper being mixed in with my pictures taken with my digital camera (vacations, special events, etc...). How would I go about accesssing the pictures/documents if I used Air Sharing HD? I just don't want to spend $10 on the app if it doesn't do with I'm wanting to do.

To access the pictures/documents in Air Sharing HD you would navigate to them first and then you would click on them. If you don't need the more complicated features and just want to store/view pictures, the 99 cent GoodReader App should be good enough.

No, you cannot use pictures stored in AirSharing as wallpapers. You can only use photos stored in the native Photo app.

Are you sure about that? That kinda defeats the whole purpose of why I want the app. What stops you from using a photo stored with Air Sharing HD as a wallpaper?

I would just get Goodreader but I also want to be able to print to my HP Photosmart C4795 Wireless Printer that is on my network. I've heard Air Sharing HD is the best app to wirelessly print? Is that right or has another app come out that is better for printing? Thanks everyone. I really appreciate your help.

Why can't you just create a "wallpaper" picture folder on your computer, choose manual photo sync on iTunes and sync that folder to iPad? That way it'll have its own photo album in the iPad...

Edit: Nevermind... Forgot you didn't want people to see those "wallpapers" on your photo app... How about some secured photo apps? Not sure if they're iPad compatible yet, but I've browsed through a few of them...

Once you make a picture the wallpaper, won't other people see them?

From ASHD or Goodreader you could export to photo album and then from photo album set the photo as wallpaper. You'd want to delete the copy in your photo album afterward though if you don't want it there.

Of course it'll be shown on my Home screen and people will see it but I don't like have random wallpapers mixed in with my Photos. I had already made a Wallpaper folder in iPhoto and put them in there but I don't like when I go to all photos that they are mixed in with my regular pictures.

I know I am being very finicky (spelling?) about this but I am kinda OCD when it comes to some stuff. Thanks for your help though.
