Air to Mac Pro: Back to Headless Mac

I am wondering if this setup is possible:

Macbook Air hooked up to a 27" apple display, connecting to a headless mac pro through screenshare on a local wifi network...

is this possible? feasible? wacky?

Do it the other way round. Connect the MBA via WiFi and then get the App called Air Display in the app store.

What's the reasoning behind this setup?

Run the MP with a head, then use the MBA screen as a mobile screen as it was designed.
