Please post M1 MacBook Air versus M1 MacBook Pro speed comparison links to this thread.

Since both computers have the same processor, it would be interesting to have one thread for the many articles and videos comparing their speed.

Difficult to measure the differences with standard benchmarks.

The short answer is easy: if one’s workload is usually sustained over 10-30 minutes instead of short bursts, one should definitely opt for the MBP. The performance difference over long workloads is significant.

Other than that, if longer battery is a much needed feature (journalists, photographers, people always on the road/airports), one should also opt for the MBP.

Most users will be better serviced with the MBA (cheaper and lighter) as their main needs are default apps, social media / messaging, office / productivity software. From most reviews I read, it was hard to deplete the battery in either laptop.

That video was originally linked in a MacRumors front-page article written by Juli Clover titled "Watch Apple's M1 MacBook Pro Obliterate 2020 Intel MacBook Pro in Speed Tests" that was posted on Thursday November 19, 2020 3:23 PM PST. Here is a link to Juli Clover's article:
