Okay, you don't have to beat me into submission, Apple. I give up.

Tonight I removed the USB 2.0 500 GB drive from my Airport Extreme (n) Base Station, and re-attached it to my iMac. Since then:

  • No more inappropriate syncs.
  • The ability to use Airtunes via Airport Express.
  • No more lost libraries for my wife or for me.

AirDisk?

FEH!

I found the AirDisk feature to be completely useless on the AEBS. I ended up getting a refurb Mac Mini as a 'server' for my iTunes/shares/printers/etc...

Maybe I'm the only one who found it flawless...still running fine for me, only two people using it actively. Maybe that has some impact.

i only use a 1GB usb stick on my AEBS. it's a quite convenient way to share files between my 2 windows comps and my two macs. for everything else i use a firewire 800 external on my main mac.

Do you store and large files with it? I guess it would be ok for the occasional document or spreadsheet, but it just doesn't cut it for large files.
