Airdrop destinations folder?

Airdrop photos sent form my iPhone 12 to my 2020 MacBook Air appear in my MacBooks 'downloads' folder by default. Is there a way of changing this to say desktop?

I find Airdrop a useful way of transferring photos from my iPhone to my MacBook for when I want to post them onto forums etc, but I'd prefer them to appear on my MacBooks desktop so I can easily see them and delete them after use. Otherwise they will sit un-noticed in my downloads folder for ever. I'm having to manually drag them from downloads to desktop each time.

I've tested this method and it works (macOS Big Sur).
Download the script and set "Macintosh HD:Users:YourUserName:Desktop".
