I can't seem to be able to airdrop from my iPhone 5S to my Macbook Air 13" late 2015. I have an iPad mini and the airdrop between the two (iPhone and iPad) works perfectly. On my Macbook I have the latest update of OS X El Capitan (10.11.6). I have tried the firewall fix, obviously also turning Airdrop On on both devices. I don't know what the problem is. When I try to pair the two (because they do appear in each other's radar) is "Network is unavailable. Make sure your network access is enabled."

can you post a screenshot of the error?

Hey, I'm sorry! Someone already gave me the solution and I don't know how to go back to seeing the error message. The solution was simple: I just clicked on "forget network" in the wifi section in both my devices (iPhone and Macbook) and the airdrop worked instantly!
