Is anyone else having the issue with the AirDrop on the latest Beta 4?
Mine just keeps on freezing on waiting...

PS: It only happens when trying to send photos from my iPhone X to my MBP, it works fine the other way around.

Working for me, XS to MacOS on 10.4.6b5. Just sent a pic to it.

Ok, thanks for checking. Hmm... I can't seem to figure out what's wrong then. I use AirDrop almost every single weekend and it was working on the previous betas(both iOS and MacOS).

I'm on 10.15 Beta (19A512f) now and it isn't working anymore, from iPhone to MBP.

Cheers anyway

It could be broken on the Catalina build. I've experienced several different builds of Mojave when handoff and air drop have broken and then fixed in other builds.

Did you try rebooting both devices? When I've had issues with AirDrop that's fixed it for me.

Yes, still the same.

Quite possibly, I have never had the issue with any other build before, maybe just this beta combinations on both devices is the cause...

i found that Airdrop would work for weeks/months, and then with iOS or macOS updates, it wouldn't work anymore, if it was set for able to Airdrop to everyone.
but if i set it for only Contacts, it would always work.
even for Contacts only, i also needed to ensure that my own exact same contact card was being used on both machines for me to transfer files between my own devices.

its been working perfectly for over 1 year now.
its a preferred way to xfer files.
its also the most secure rather than over a WiFi network.

I will try this method tonight when I get home.

Update: I tried the contacts only option, but unfortunately its still the same issue, it hangs on waiting...

@ mikecwest, I don't use the hotspot
