Airdrop Mac to Mac not working

Been years since I've been on here; I'm having issues with Mac to Mac Airdrop.

I'm trying to make the drop using two MBP Retina's ~1 year old. I am visible on the other computer, but I do not have anyone visible on my end. When the other computer drops something to me, he shows up, until I accept or decline, then he disappears.

Both computers have bluetooth, wireless internet and visible to everyone turned on. Not sure why it isn't working now. We have been using this feature for months. Also, both computers are updated on the latest Yosemite, etc.

Any thoughts?

Have you verified that both computers meet the system requirements for AirDrop?

If one of them is an "old" Mac (meaning it doesn't support the latest Bluetooth standard) and other other one is a "new" Mac (meaning it supports it), they won't see each other, unless you force the "new" one to search for "old" hardware. AirDrop itself instructs you on how to do that.

Try with the Firewall turned off.

"If you're using a Firewall on your Mac, you won't be able to receive AirDrop files if you have enabled "Block all incoming connections" in the Security & Privacy pane of System Preferences.

Not sure why it isn't working now. We have been using this feature for months.

Yup, both are 15" MBP Retinas 2.3ghz Intel Core I7 with 16GB's Ram. They are the Late 2013 model and we've been using this feature for awhile.

I'll give this a look, tomorrow. Could be that my boss was messing with his security settings.

This might describe it better too. Two Macs with the above specs.

Mac A doesn't see Mac B.
Mac B sees Mac A.
Mac B sends something to Mac A.
Mac A receives notification of drop, sees Mac B, accepts drop, then Mac B is no longer visible once drop has been made.

And when it does work, it's ridiculously slow (1gb/10 mins). It's not bluetooth or firewall settings.

I eventually gave up on it. Switched to using Dropbox for Business. Their new collaboration feature works great.
