Hello, I have an iPhone 5 iOS 9.2.1 installed.
I also have a Macbook Air 2012 with OSX 10.10.5

I notice I can't even use airdrop to transfer files from my macbook air to my iphone 5. it used to work before i upgraded to iOS 9.2.1 (I skipped 9.2 when it came out and just installed 9.2.1 when it was available). But i remember it used to work, i was able to transfer photos from my Macbook to iPhone without any problems.

Transferring from my iPhone to Macbook air using airdrop works perfectly. I tried all the solutions online, such as turning airdrop off and back on again (in my iphone and macbook) to reset it. Turning bluetooh off and on again also. but nothing. does it have to do with osx 9.2?

Have you tried restarting both your Mac & iPhone? It magically fixed my handoff issues..."it just works" lol

I have the same problem, airdrop doesn't work at all. I have tried everything, deleting the Bluetooth.plist, restarted the laptop, everything, this happen between an iPhone 6s/iOS 9.2.1 and a MacBook Air 2014 mid/OS X El Capitan 10.11.3, but if I change of network or wifi connection I can do it without problems, it's weird because my friend use the same internet service and router by Swisscom

I have just the opposite issue.
My rMB can see both my iPad Mini 4 and 6S+. The Mini 4; no problem. With my 6S+ I get; on the 6S+; the message: "MacBook not supported". All running on the latest OS versions.
There be something strange with this latest iOS. o_O

It's pretty random. I normally have to turn on and off the setting a few times and ensure contacts is set to everyone on both devices

Pretty poor tbh, in fact worse than poor...

Most of the time, Airdrop doesn't work for me. This is on a 2013 MacBook Air and an iPhone 6 Plus, with WiFi via Apple's own Airport Express....

I got sick of it and started emailing things to myself again :-(
