Airdrop won’t work (send/receive; device doesn’t show up on any other devices nor does it detect any other devices to send to)

Wifi and Bluetooth both function fine for all other purposes.

Tried hard reset, toggling settings etc, signing out of iCloud, and updating iOS - all to no avail.

Personal hotspot is off. Can’t think of any other potential conflicts

Any suggestions on what it might be / how to overcome it? Find it hard to believe it’s hardware if everything else working

Other than the so obvious I wasn’t going to mention it, making sure send/receive is set to everyone, make sure both devices are “awake” and make sure do not disturb is off. What device(s) are you trying to share with?

Yeah all done.

Have tried a good handful of devices, iPad Mini 2, iPad mini 4, iPhone 7, iPhone 6, iPhone 7 Plus, MacBook Air, MacBook Pro

The device can’t send to any of them nor can it receive anything. It is set to “everyone” and when a number of devices are prompted to search they all find each other but not this one specific device.

How perplexing, well the other quick obvious one you've no doubt tried but for the sake of being thorough I'll mention, is toggling airplane mode on and off again.

After that you're looking at, again obvious, make sure iOS is up to date on the 7 Plus which no doubt it will be.

Then the next thing would be to reset the network settings, reboot and reconnect your networks.

Unlikely but might as well check, go to Settings > General > Restrictions and make sure the Airdrop restriction isn't switched on.

Beyond that I can't think of anything off the top of my head at the moment.

Tried all of those and even went up to iOS 11 to try and rule out a bug specific to 10.3.3

A very strange one, the only other thing I can think off is the rather extreme signing out and back into iCloud on your devices, which can be a bloody pain.

Other than that, unless someone more knowledgeable than I on here has any ideas, it’s probably worth chatting to Apple support.
