Hey Everyone,

I haven't had any luck with my iPhone 6S being able to find devices with AirDrop on or be discovered by other devices when I have it turned on. My iPad is fine. Just curious if anyone else has had this issue. I'll probably do a restore from backup when the public release is out to see if that cleans it up, but wanted to see if anyone had the same issue.

It works for me, iOS 10 to 9. AirDrop has been sporadic for me since iOS 7, and clearly it hasn't changed going by your issue.
A reboot usually fixes it however.

I have to set for "everyone" myself to get it to work. Wifes 6 seems to work as I can find her pretty much always (no pic though just generic silhouette) and hers is set for contacts only. Seems there is something wonky with the contacts communication and that could explain why I cant get the real pic for her and she cant see me at all unless I am set for everyone.

Perhaps you've got duplicate contacts. Or maybe both devices need to have the picture.

I actually have deleted her contact and added it back. Modified my contact on her device to remove a few of the numbers and emails she don't really need for me leaving the iCloud email address. Not seeing a dup. I have photos on both devices but its a different picture. I tried to make it the same picture on both devices but no joy. I read it should send the pic the other user has set but who knows. It used to work fine before iOS 10. Weird.....

Were the contacts in either device synced from the same account/source? And does this happen regardless of how you turn on AirDrop(contacts only/everyone)

No each device uses separate iCloud acct. Wifes set for contacts only and I can see her and it works. Mine only works if set to everyone. If I change to contacts only, she can no longer see me. I can see her whether she is contacts only OR everyone but neither option displays her pic. It all used to work until iOS 10. I assume that's what broke it because it was working and now it isnt but not exactly sure when it stopped.
