Is it just me or does this not quite work right?

Within 3 feet of my MacBook Pro (2013) I have an iPhone 5s, and iPad Mini Retina - both have BT turned on, Both are signed into the same Apple ID and both are on the same Wifi Network...

Nothing shows up in Finder's 'Airdrop' folder. I have seen from my iPhone 5s to iPad work, but never to/from the MacBook Pro

Edit: N/m they both have to be unlocked. It would be nice to at least see them, and be prompted for the passcode for the devices before sharing.

Agreed, why not submit a BR to Apple and make it a Enhancement Suggestion.

Select AirDrop in Finder, and then run terminal and get report: sudo dmesg
