Airdropped pics now buried in camera roll. Any suggestions?

Since this iOS 18 update and the change to the photos app I’ve noticed that if I airdrop a pic from my Mac to my iPhone the pic falls into my camera roll by date, making it tough to find. Prior to iOS 18, any pic I airdropped was my newest pic in my camera roll and easy to find. Now, if the pic is 5 years old, I have to scroll back 5 years to find it. Is there a way to make it so airdropped pics end up the newest in my camera roll? Thanks.

At the bottom left for your photos are there’s a double arrow. Click that and then check “Sort by recently added”. This might work.
