In the last month or so my iPhone 11 even in airplane mode doesn’t stop calls or texts coming through. I hoped iOS 15 would sort this but it hasn’t. Anyone else having this issue? It used to work fine and the only messages I’d get were iMessage.

I’ve seen the new focus mode and tried it today and yet the texts and notifications still came through from people I’d not selected as allowed to come through. I had this and airplane mode on today and still calls and texts came through.

Airplane mode only turns off the cellular radios. If you're on wifi the phone works normally.

It used to stop any text messages coming through and calls, only calls I had were FaceTime and iMessage messages. It used to work like that.

When you are in aiplane mode, you can enable wifi and cellular. Maybe it was something you have done ?
Else, shouldn't have any call/sms

I used to have wifi on and airplane mode and didn’t receive calls or texts, just iMessage. Which I was fine with but now I get texts and calls even in airplane and wifi enabled.

On your iPhone under Settings > Phone you probably have wifi calling turned on. Turn it off if you don’t want it.

I did have this enabled so I just switched this off. Thank you.
