Everywhere, yet nowhere.
Is anyone having issues with Airplay between iPad Gen 1 and Apple TV 2? It has been working fine up until 2 days ago. I have done a hard reboot on my iPad several times, which has fixed the issue in the past when it happened 1 or twice. Now the airplay option does not even come up. Nothing has changed with my internet or setup or anything. All of my updates on both devices are current. Any ideas? This is making me nuts!

you are 100 percent sure they are on the same wireless network? ie: do you have say a comcast or verizon wireless router with say an airport extreme behind it?

i had an issue where one of my older apple tv's kept grabbing an ip from my fios router and everything else was on my AE. i then turned off my fios wireless radio and set the AE to bridge mode to get everything on the same network.

They are on the same network. I have not changed my setup since I got the Apple TV almost a year ago. I have the same network setup, my Cablevision modem with my Netgear router. It just stopped working over the weekend basically.

Sorry, this may be a dumb reply / question but I don't have time to look it up... Does AirPlay rely on the same Apple ID on both devices? (I'm starting to get confused with all the options). If so are the credentials on both devices the same and "good"? I ask because occasionally I lose my Netflix credentials on the AT2 and have to re-enter them. Good luck!

Edit: After submitting this I noticed my avatar is the AirPlay icon. That makes this post even more embarrasing. :)
