Does anybody manufacture a simple dongle that you plug into a TV and will catch an Airplay signal and stream it to the TV?

Like Apple TV does but without all the TV and additional bits.

I travel worldwide a lot and a device such as this would be great for boring hotel rooms!!

Don't really want to do it with cables.

I was thinking of a HDMI cable with some sort of airplay dongle attached at the other end.

Plug the HDMI into the TV and stream away....

That dongle is called AppleTV, whether you like it or not ;)

Unfortunately a wireless network is required, so you'd probably need an Airport Express as well for convenience.

If you need it to be cheaper or smaller/lighter than that combo, cable is the way to go for now.

ipad2 mirrors right? just hook that up. forget if iphone4 does or not
