This is suspiciously similar to another post where AirPlay won't play to a Sonos ... there was no answer to that post.
MacBook Air M1 {13.4.1(c)}, iPhone 12Mini, Sony TV (native AirPlay), older generic TV with Roku (with AirPlay); all most current firmware. Same .MOV files, 2 different, recorded Sunday on iPhone.
iPhone connects and plays .MOV files via AirPlay to each set, thus not destination issue
MacBook worked previously, but it's been several months; I don't know which OS or version
MacBook Air connects; its screen shows connected to selected destination, destination screen shows connected to MacBook. Short .MOV will not play. Play/Pause button reflects that it was "pressed".
Sony support had me boot in Safe Mode, no change. Their next suggestion was to reinstall OS; I declined as problem isn't as bad as solution.
Is there something worth checking?
