Tried to search the forum but didn't find anything. Anyone else having this problem?

No AirPlay with iOS 9 to Apple TV 2?

Sooooo first they took the YouTube app. Now they are killing AirPlay on the AppleTV2 - They really want us to upgrade, don't they :p

Airplay works to ATV2. Its still alive and strong.

I was doing it last night with both the Hulu app and the CBS app and the Late Show.

I had a jailbroken ATV2 and airplay stopped working to it. Only video though, I could still send audio. I had to plug in my ATV2 to my computer and restore/update to finally get airplay working.

The AirPlay protocol was significantly changed in iOS 9. You need to update your Apple TV firmware to the latest (specifically 6.2 or later) to support it

Air play works on my gen 3 Apple TV and iOS 9 products. Maybe see if there is a firmware update on the Apple TV? Only thing iOS 9 broke for me was air playing with the dish network app. Safari and YouTube AirPlay fine, but screws up hard with the dish app. I blame the app and the new reworked AirPlay on that. Hopefully there is an update for the dish app soon.

Does anyone have a link to anything outlining the changes in AirPlay protocol because mine is whacked out. lol

I somehow continue to get this blank Bluetooth profile somewhere in between regular usage and connecting/disconnecting to the bluetooth kit I installed in my truck.

The company has techs looking into it and can't figure it out.

To the ones who doesnt get it. Airplay is dead on the apple tv 2 - not 3.

Appletv 2 dead. Appletv 3 alive.

Apple knows this. The forums on their support page has a lot about. Yet another time apple gives a beep about their costumers and kills a product. Bastards

instead of abusing, you could rather explain what errors you see, what steps you've taken (reset, update firmware, etc). noone here is interested in listening to your choicest abuses.

When did they stop allowing you too Airplay to a 2nd gen Apple TV? I have one and was using it up in till Thursday (29/10/15) as I got the newer on Friday.

I'll try it again when I get home from work.

Even Apple's own forums has this subject all over it. Apple TV 2 (sure you have 2 and not 3) has in many stoppede working with AirPlay. And yes latest updates and so on.

No problems here on an ATV2 either. Not saying that people aren't having problems but be careful jumping to conclusions.
