Airplay from iOS devices to Apple Tv works excellent. However from a Mac, in this case an iMac 5k running Yosemite, airplays seems limited in comparison.
1. Apparently airplay can only be used to mirror/extend the screen or to play media from iTunes. Is it possible, as with iOS devices, to airplay video content from specific apps or websites (say video from VLC, youtube or other video streaming sites)?
2. Is it, as with content played from iOS devices, possible to control the video playback with the apple tv remote rather than from the iMac?
