airplay mirroring

apple's website claim that you can mirror what's on iphone 4s on your apple tv but apart from video, pics and music i can't see my, for example, safari page on the tv.. i have the latest versions on both devices so what is the problem?? why would their website explicitly say this is possible when it is clearly not??? this is one of the main reasons i bought apple tv

open the task manager by double clicking and then keep scrolling to the left and you'll see a volume control and to the right a button.

Click the button and it'll give you the airplay options.

thanks for your swift reply paul..i did that and it gives me the option for apple tv which i select but still i can't see what's on my iphone 4s, it plays music and videos no problem, on the tv..apple blatantly advertise that i can see anything on the phone on the tv

have you updated the software in the appleTV? mirroring only works with the newest software. (check in settings, should be 4.4 or 4.4.1)

from the pictures i've seen you should have 2 appleTVs listed in the airplay menu on your phone, one regular and one streaming.

Its working just fine for me. I did have to reboot my ATV to get it up and working but since then its been working fine.

It works well with my 4S and my updated TV

Although I think my in-home WiFi is poor =/

Guys I figured it out!
I had the same problem as y'all until 5min ago. Here's what you need to do to get it to work.

1.unplug the power cord from your Atv2(this must be unplugged or iTunes won't recognize your Atv!)

2. Using a microUSB cable, plug in to iTunes directly from your atv to computer

3.Your computer will display ur atv, click RESTORE(this will automatically download the new update even though it kept telling you it was already up to date.

4. You're done! Now in settings it'll say 4.4.1 and video mirroring will now be an option to select when u double click on the home button and scroll all the way to the left.
