Airplay Question

Just a quick one, and I do apolgise if its been asked before.

My boss has heard that he can show presentations eg powerpoint on a TV wirelessly.

He has a i4 with ios4 on it I assume I need to go to ios5?

What is needed on the other side with the TV?

He will need an Apple TV, or alternatively another iOS device with an Airplay reciever app as well as an AV connection kit.. however if you went down this route, just using the AV connection kit from the iPhone would be easiest.

So yeah - upgrate to iOS 5 to get all the features, and get an Apple TV 2.

...just had an afterthought, I'm not sure if the Keynote app supports Airplay, I haven't tired that function on mine. If not, I'm sure there's an app that can do it. If not, Airplay mirroring is an option, but I think this is only available on the iPad 2.

Second question is, does the iphone have to be on the network as the airplay device or the same subnet?

Eg our wireless network is 10.97.20.0 and our Ethernet network is 10.99.61.0

Put them both on the wireless.
