Ok so I have an old mac running airserver hooked to my receiver. Airplay works just fine but the thing that bothers me is that you have to control the volume with the little volume slider in itunes. I have a 2011 MBP and it has the itunes controls and volume buttons that I am used to using so I usually leave itunes hidden. In itunes preferences their is a box that says something about audio control from remote speakers but thats not what I need. Are there more airplay settings somewhere?

Also is there a way to use airplay in chrome to send sound from youtube videos to the receiver?

Thanks,

for the second question look at airfoil, but the audio will be delayed by a couple seconds so it won't line up with the video.
they also have a companion program that will play videos in sync with the audio.
(the audio is delayed in iTunes also, but the interface is delayed to match, try skipping tracks, and compare the times on airplay vs local only)
