Can I stream for other music programs such as Spotify, or do I have to do it from iTunes? I'm talking about OSX not iOS.

No. Airplay from a Mac or PC requires iTunes. Other Mac/PC apps don't work with Airplay.

To stream just photos from your iPhone to any computer screen you can take a look at: 'Wifi Photo Viewer'. An iPhone app that I just released that allows you to display your iPhone photos on any computer screen over wifi and control the slideshow directly from your device. It's like Air Play for photos but works with any computer.

Here is the website for the app where you can watch a video that shows how the app works:

I hope you like it! Let me know if you have any comment or suggestion.

Cheers!

The question is for audio. However your app looks pretty OK although I don't know why would I show it on computer screen. Better use would be to show it on the TV, it's sort of a living room thing. Can you pass them on to TV screen?

Thanks for your comment and I'm sorry if I'm post was not appropriate, I though the original question was both for music and photos. Anyways, to answer your question, we would really like to have it working on the TV but unfortunately right now there is no way to do it. We are hoping that there will be some sort of SDK for the Apple TV to install apps or maybe with other smart TV's coming up soon this will be possible. However, many of us have computers already connected to the TV so Wifi Photo Viewer can be useful in that case. Cheers!
