Hi there guys!
I have an iPad2 and atv2 all hooked up at home.
Now, I have purchases the services of NBA leaguepass mobile and whenever I try to AirPlay it to ATV it only streams the audio. Both the devices (iPad and ATV) are jailbroken with the latest softwares. I wanted to know if there is any hack or way to fix this in order to be able to stream full audio and video.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks in advance!

If i'm not mistaken you can't airplay video from nba league pass.

I have not tried it but ... Have you tried AirPlay Mirrow? Hit menu button twice and shift left and then select AirPlay from there then everything on your screen goes to your ATV.

Why would you want to AirPlay NBA from your iPad to the ATV when it is already built in as a native app on the ATV?

Or are you outside of the US?

I would rather pay 40$ than the whole 100$ but yea, I'm in the US

This will work. I did it with Slingbox until I figured out sling built in AirPlay support for video.

I have a similar problem with an app called Sky go. it allows people to get sports games on the go i.e. iphone or iPad however it too only AirPlays the sounds and not the video....sneeky! I can't figure out a way round it. I have other TV based apps i.e. BBC iplayer they allow both audio and video. I guess it must be something to do with the TV/contract rights.

A lot of apps are built to not work with air play and mirror. Hulu is one. Apple did not allow it to air play or mirror you can only get Hulu to your tv via the video connection kit and then only in sd.

Think about it. They charge $40 for the iPad version of the nba and $100 for the atv version. So why would they make it easy to buy the cheap version and let you air play or mirror to your tv? They just throw away the additional money that way.

The nfl gamepass app is the same. HD quality in my iPhone and Mac but air play dumbed down to SD quality.

Apple isnt responsible for that, thats the app makers own doing Apple has nothing to do with how they control their apps.

You are wrong about that in the case of Hulu. A quick google search of Hulu airplay will give you all the info regarding how Apple forced the removal of AirPlay and mirror capabilities in the Hulu app and is sitting on an updated app since last year to protect their iTunes and Netflix revenue.

In the case of the nba app as I mentioned due to the pricing differences I feel the nba is restricting AirPlay.

All that "info" is based on one unsourced rumour. It's possible, but more likely it's the app creator who sets these limitations due to their own commercial preferences or their arrangements with rights-holders.
