Hi guys,

I have a problem with the right headset.

Some days ago the right headset started to work wrong because it was everytime mute and start to work only in a specific position in the ear, in all other position was mute.

The airpods was connected, the left airpod worked well, the right was mute:( but it was connected and the system detect it because if I removed the right airpod off, iphone stop the music, if I made a double tap on the right airpod siri start...

I tried to disconnect and re-inizialize the airpods... now the right does not work anymore, no sound but double tap with siri works.

Are there some solution?

Thanks all

Have you cleaned it lately? Mine exhibited this behavior a few weeks ago before I cleaned them.

Sad short story: I have tried to clean in every methods without results...

I opened the headset, I cleaned into the headset, I found a veeeeery little electrical wire disconnected, but it's insane how much is little... I touched the other little wire... this also came off.

September is coming... time to airpod pro ?

Hmm, as AirPods have no moving parts, you might have accidentally pulled this cable off while opening them.

AirPods Pro are not fail-proof and have their own range of issues (the “rattlegate”, having to regularly clean them to maintain good functionality, etc. - check these forums). They also do not fit every ear, so you really need to test them properly during the 14-day return period to see if they work for you.

If earphones’ physical size is not important for you, perhaps wait a little to hear more about Apple’s rumoured Studio over-ears, as those might have a very good sound and, hopefully, easily replaceable batteries. Current AirPods offerings are designed to last 2-3 years, then they are gone, as the batteries wear out.
