Hi all!

As some of you know — I'm deaf with Bilateral cochlear implants which helps me hear. I've been using a special cord 'headphone' that plugs directly into my cochlear implant processor. But I'm super interested to see if the Airpod Max would work with my cochlear implants since Apple finally made an over-the-head headphones.

I'm curious to hear from other Cochlear implant patients out here on Mac Rumors (if there are any Cochlear implant users on here!) if they have purchased the Airpod Max and if they have any good experience wearing them with the cochlear implants on. I'm hesitant to purchase one right now since I can't test them for myself in the store and see how they hear with my cochlear implants on due to the pandemic. I was watching a video by iPhonedo on Youtube where he did a super cool review about the Airpod Max where you can hear what he's hearing through the Airpod Max by using a special headphones called binaural headphones where it records what you're hearing when you're out and about or wearing headphones!

video here:

His video took the words out of my mouth and I was utterly shocked because I have never worn over the head headphones before and I was just shocked because I was surprised that I was experiencing what you all are experiencing: Noise cancelation, transparency mode, Stereo and Spatial audio, etc because I don't have the ability to experience that with my current 'headphones' for my cochlear implants and I never have, ever.

So, I am just super curious from other Apple, Cochlear implant-users fantiacs if they have good experiences with the Airpod Maxs before I go ahead and purchase one!

Thanks!

Hey I know this was a while ago, but this is something I am now looking into. I have a cochlear implant on only one side (single-sided deafness), and I want to be able to comfortably where a pair of headphones. I am taking off my processor all the time while I study with noise cancellation airpods pro in my good ear, and this is negatively affecting my recovery (I only got the processor 4 months ago). Did you ever end up trying the airpods max?
