To me seems like Spatial audio is already is already working, since I just watch a little of the Furious 7 to me seems likes it has already been active, I could be wrong

What's your firmware? Mine is 2D15 which has been around since mid May and I'm running IOS14 using AirPods Pro.

Mine is are the same, but seems like it just depends on what movie you watch. I watch furious 7 on Catalina to me it sounded like the airpod pro already had that feature enabled

After dinner tonight I checked my AirPods Pro and they were update, Its hard to tell but I think the new feature is enabled on them now, it would be nice if the new feature was enable so we could try it out with iOS 14. You just need a movie that has surround sound capable. Has anyone else notice any different with the new firmware. I just wish that apple would say what the new firmware updates are when they release them

I've had my Airpods synced to my IOS 14 phone now for about an hour and still no update.

Just popped mine in my ears after reading this thread, and it’s now showing 2D27; was 2D15 yesterday, I believe.

For anyone who hasn’t received the update Apple have learned from their mistakes with AirPod Pro update rollouts. It seems like Apple are doing an intentional, staggered rollout over at least a few days. I guess they want to see whether they break anything before rolling it out for everyone.

they did the same thing for 2D15.

I just checked and have the 2D27 also.

How can you test the Spacial Audio?
I just tried the automatic switching and it didn't work. Was watching youtube on ipad and had someone call my iphone and it didn't switch over.

Same here, it's weird! They were on 15 and I put them back in the case and gave up for the night. Just took them out and they're now on 27.

Generally Movies available in Apple TV and iTunes especially the most recent ones are encoded in 5.1 Sound. So if someone wants to test it that would be a good way to go I guess.

Thanks for your reply. Mine finally updated, too. And now the rattle I've been experiencing while walking or talking happens during bass-heavy tracks as well. Fortunately my replacement earpieces are set to be delivered tomorrow. :)
