The few times I have used my new AirPods in the last couple weeks I have noticed that adjusting the volume doesn't work for me, swiping doesn't work with different amounts of pressure and swiping along either the flat or along the edges of the flat part. The volume buttons on my iPad work fine in adjusting the volume. I just also noticed that while using the AirPods with my iPhone 8, the volume is pretty low even though the iPhones volume is at the max when I tried using them for a phone call. I again tried the swiping method on the AirPods but it didn't work for me.
In my 5th gen iPad Pro 12.9 Settings> Bluetooth > AirPods Pro the Noise Control of either right or left sides does not cycle between the selected noise control modes. Both of the Noise Cancellation and Transparency each have check marks and they stay selected when I press and hold on both sides of the stem of each AirPod. I hear a couple of different sounds each time I press and hold the stems though. I don't know which sound is for either the noise cancellation of transparency or even if they're for something else. Occasionally my music starts playing instead.
The iPhone 8 (waiting for an iPhone 12 Pro) has iOS 15.6 while the iPad Pro has iOS 15.7. I can't update them to the latest iOS until I get to a place that has better internet to see if the AirPods will work better with the latest iOS.
Any ideas I can try in the meantime short of contacting Apple?
TIA
