In WWDC they mentioned something with the airpod pro's called "Conversation Boost". It really interested me because my mom can't hear well and we have got hearing aids for her in the past but she doesn't like them because they just amplify everything in her words.

So a couple of questions
1. In order to use airpods and conversation boost I'm assuming she would need an iphone correct?
2. I know this is a new feature that no one has played with yet, but any thoughts if this might work for the clarity she might be hoping for?

Thanks in advance for thoughtful comments

A lot will depend on the extent of your Mom's hearing loss. There are many hearing tests available on the App Store. I suggest you download one and have your Mom take it. If her hearing loss is in the mild to moderate range, then I expect the new conversation boost feature could indeed work -- it'd at least be worth giving it a try. If her loss strays into the severe range, you may want to consult a hearing specialist.
