OK, another AirPods Pro review... I thought I would try to give an objective opinion.

Fit: They fit just like other silicone cup earbuds, no better no worse. No earbuds have ever fit my ears well, and neither did these, any of the sizes. My problem was the body of the device hit my ear before the silicone cup went far enough into my ear canal. I need a longer tip, not a smaller or bigger tip. However, I settled on the large size for now.

Sound quality: I can confirm they did sound terrible and tinny at first, so much I panicked briefly, but after a few songs they were fine. By the end of today the bass opened up and they sound pretty good, or at least as good as an earbud can sound. I have never believed in earpods break-in before, but these did need a few songs to loosen up.

Autodetect: The main reason for these over brands is supposedly the auto features within the Apple ecosystem. Well, they did install automatically at first open on my iPhone, but I had to manually connect them to my two MacBooks and iPad. My 12" MacBook was stubborn and it took lots of resetting of both AirPods and MacBook to get them finally to work. They were recognized, it would just say "unable to complete connection" in red. I updated all my Apple products last night to be ready for my AirPod Pros today.

Surprises: I was very surprised by one problem. I did not see any mention of this in any review, and I was shocked Apple themselves did not discover it. When running in a light wind, the microphone made wind noise. I was not using the microphone or on a call, just listening to music, but the noise cancelling microphone made the typical loud wind noise that all mics make when recording video in the wind. To verify it was the NC microphone and not the vent in the body, I turned off NC and TM and the wind noise went away. I turned on transparency mode, and the wind noise was also there. It was quite bad at times, and again, I am shocked no-one at Apple bothered to run in these things outside in a light wind. I am pretty sure this can be fixed in a software update. I wonder how long until third party companies come out with tiny windscreens for these! LOL!
