Dear all,

Got my wife an airpod pro as valentine present last year. She has been using it for 1 year 3.5 months till recently she complained she could hear static sound coming from the right ear bud. She made an appointment with apple store, bring it down and the tech diagnosed with faulty ear bud indeed for both side. She was offered by the apple staffs to purchase SG$135 for one earbud and twice the amount for both.

Any suggestion to savage these earbuds via software/firmware?

Airpod Pro is really expensive at SG$379 for a usage of 1 year and 3.5 months. (At least for case, bad choice as a valentine gift.)

Regards Wayne

I had same problem. AirPods were gift and just over 1 year later they had static. Apple did the test and went to replace and the computer wouldn’t let them. After about an hour they determined they were made a month after the cut off for replacement. But we’re just out of warranty. So they couldn’t do anything. Apple did not fix the issue between Oct and Nov 2020.

They offered me the same bad deal to pay a jacked up price. I could have purchased new for less elsewhere but I am not buying any AirPods until I know they fixed the issue. I have worthless AirPods unless they extend the program to all the bad product.
