AirPod pros 2 chiming several times

I have been having an issue with airpod pros 2 chiming several times when I am closing the case withone or both AirPods in there. Battery isn’t low on the case or the AirPods. The pairing button isn’t being pushed. I cannot figure out what this chiming is supposed to be telling me. I never had this with previous version of airpod pros. Green light shows on front of case. Its a different sound than the Find My sound on airpod pro case.


Any ideas?

So you're saying you can hear a chime even without the AirPods Pros 2 in your ears? Is there a small speaker on the case or AirPods Pros? I have the original ones, so I can't test this. The only time I hear anything on mine is if one or both are in my ears.

Correct. They added speaker holes to the 2nd gen find them with find my app.

I am also having this same issue. I am wondering if it is related to the "Find My" functionality.

Happening to me when I close the case. I disabled Find Me, could be the cause? Strangest thing is that it started doing this a couple of days ago, not in the previous week that I used them.

It seems to happen more often if case is less than 40% battery, but I don’t know if it is a coincidence or not. Wife has had it happen a couple times on hers as well.

You could be right. Happened to me yesterday when the case was at 35%, and today in the morning with the case at 25%. I just charged it and it no longer makes any sound.
