I’ve wasted hours troubleshooting this.

These are my second pair (lost the first). They worked at first but then I noticed them acting oddly on my iPhone. I can’t specifically say how because the situation got so much worse I don’t remember the minor issues.

They connect to my iPhone 12 Pro no problem, but they never work for any application and in the sound settings the AirPod icons never appear (even though they are connected).

Yes - I have cleaned the connections

Yes - I have “forgotten” them in Bluetooth and repaired dozens of times.

Yes - I have reset network connections.

Yes - I have attempted to do a hard reset on my AirPods BUT they will Not!

per the hard reset instructions, when you hold the button on the back for 15 seconds with the blinking white light the operation is complete when you get a single amber blinking light.

Not once in my 100 attempts have I seen an amber blink. I only receive a single green blinking light.

Yes - again, I have cleaned the connections.

No - these have never been dropped, exposed to sand or dirt, or damaged.

BUT - they seem to work fine on multiple iPads.

Yes - I have “forgotten them on the iPads” in an attempt to get them to work on my iPhone.

What else? — They appear to freeze my iPhone, definitely anything sound related (YouTube, Spotify, music).

Yes - I have restarted my iPhone countless times.

Yeah, that's the point you call AppleCare.

I love my Pros, but the connection issues with my phone are absolutely ridiculous.
